This functioning greenhouse is made from 15 light 100 year old French doors.

The greenhouse is 8'3'' tall and approx 36" square with four shelves.

This conservatory is sold but we can make these to order. They are constructed of vintage windows and no two are alike but they are all very "likeable".

Just a quick update with some new items at 1 Of a Kind:

This is a potting table made from old lumber and architectural bits.

Just arrived - a very "Hunky" library table with an Espresso finish

This is an old, large stand up desk. Was used for many years by a pharmacist. Very imposing in any room.

This cute vintage green iron bed folds up and requires only a mattress as it has built in springs.

This is a unique Ranch House mail box. Would also make great bird house/garden art.

Painted solid wood East Lake style full size bed with tall headboard, footboard and side rails.

Vintage dresser that goes great with the bed.

Architectural columns removed from a 100 + year old house in San Luis Obispo. There are three pairs and they are complete with bases and capitals.

1 of a Kind has some new arrivals. Check out the faux fireplace with electric logs which would warm up any room. It is a bit shabby but very chic, made from salvaged architectural pieces and parts. There is also a vintage iron folding bed. This bed has a head board and foot board which fold flat underneath it for storage after guests depart. It is slightly narrower than a twin but takes a twin mattress...no box spring required. The darling round ice cream table and four chairs is on sale and we have markdowns on many other pieces. We have also brought in many new and very pretty frames. Here is a sampling:

Reminisce and 1OAK had a wonderful turnout of old and new customers and friends on Saturday night A good time was had by all. The wine and food flowed into the night and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and the store. Check out my slide show.

Season's Greetings to All!

Well, to create, sometimes we have to destroy. 1 of a Kind has just completed a major renovation and expansion of it's architectural space and we couldn't be more excited. We tore down a wall and created more space for our crusty old door, windows, shutters, etc.

1 OAK has a Fall Clearance Sale going on and many items are marked down, some more than once to clear the way for new treasures! Come check out the bargains and also take a look at new items added this week!

This is a very pretty old double bed, no side rails and two vintage side tables with marble tops.

Charming oak topped ice cream table and four stools.

The cabinet on the back wall is very old and has original bead board back and wavy glass windows. The wrought iron arch hanging up is old and rusty and very cool, about 7'9" wide.

These French doors are a narrow 4' wide for the pair and are stained natural on the inside and painted blue on the outside.

Reminisce hosted a Fall Tea on Sunday, the 26th and it was great to see old customers and greet new ones. Store gift certificates and drawing prizes were given away and the dealers provided hot and iced teas as well as sweet treats. We love celebrating the store and it's uniqueness with our dear friends and customers. We look forward to seeing all of you on Elegant Evening in November.

Hello and welcome. We have moved our architectural spot at Reminisce to a larger spot on Market Street. Come check it out. I just brought in a conservatory hand-crafted from vintage windows. This would be wonderful on a porch or in the middle of a garden. These are also fun during the holidays filled with greenery/miniature trees and white lights!

Just a reminder that the PASO ROBLES WINE FESTIVAL is coming up Saturday, May 22 in Downtown City Park. New this year is a Wine Country Auction and Dinner. There are also more than 140 area wineries hosting special events throughout the weekend. Reminisce is open 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Mon through Sat and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday. While you are in town enjoying the festivities come and see us. We are just two blocks north of the park at 14th and Pine. You will find many wine related gift ideas within our village of shops. See you there!

Below is a picture of Natalie working in her shop at Reminisce. Natalie specializes in primitives -old and wonderfully worn painted pieces, etc.

Beverly is another dealer at Reminisce and below you will see her in her shop which has Romantic and Cottage style vintage furniture and decor.

More Good Stuff Has Arrived

This is a new and very beautiful iron 11 light chandelier with branches and leaves. It is asymmetrical and quite stunning. It would be fabulous in a home or tasting room. See the close-up below.

The shabby white rocker above is brand new and very cute. Another new item above is the large ethnic basket lamp with linen shade.

While the fireplace above is a display piece only, all the items surrounding it are available.

Check out this very nice waxed pine pedestal table. It is 48 " round with one large leaf. Opened up it is oval and would seat six easily and probably up to eight.

I brought in a selection of cool old doors, some additional windows and two old shabby white 8 foot railings which can be found in the 1OAK Architectural Nook just around the corner from the main space. Pictures will follow.

SPRING IS SNEAKING UP-LOOKS WHAT'S BLOOMING AT 1OAK

I just brought in some new items and filled up my architectural nook with some old windows. I intend to bring in even more stuff for the nook in the coming days. In the main space on Treasure Alley there is a large verdigris bird cage that would make a great garden center piece! See the neat shabby white/green five legged table and a hand painted cupboard. If you haven't been to Reminisce yet, you are in for a fun experience. See you there!

A friend of mine has a darling painted vintage vanity with large mirror and a matching nightstand that she needs to sell this week as she is moving from a space at Reminisce. It would be wonderful in a little girl's room. There is some veneer damage but it does not affect it's charm. The first $100 takes it! See it at Reminisce, 14th and Pine, Paso.

I don't know about you, but I am a fair weather person and I am looking forward to some clear skys and warmer temperatures in the near future. Today I brought in two iron table bottoms that at one time had glass tops. They are unique in that they have flat scrolled iron shelves below the top and would make wonderful potted plant holders. I can see them painted up in teal green with a whole mess of potted red geraniums! The smaller one would make an ideal stand for an oval beverage bucket. Check them out at the architectural nook just off Treasure Alley at Reminisce.

For you vintage trunk lovers out there, I just brought in a small hip roof trunk, Victorian style, with a beautiful interior. Check it out below. The hardware on the trunk carries an 1880's patent. Very nice. There is also a small pine harvest table - great hard to find size for a small dining room....so take a look.

1OAK has some new items in and ready for you to check out. There is a vintage full size bed (headboard and foot board with side rails) that is shabby black. The foot board is curved and very cool. I have been busy getting some new items ready to put in the shop despite the rainy weather fighting me. My workshop is the great outdoors so things get delayed when the weather doesn't co-operate. In the architectural nook I have a stainless steel commercial cooler sink which would make a fabulous party beverage cooler! Plan ahead for those lazy, hazy, crazy summer outdoor flings. This thing will hold a lot of adult beverages as well as soft drinks and looks cool too.
